Angela & Patrick’s wedding was incredible! From the bright blue & yellow pops of color everywhere, to the the stunning venue , it was SO beautiful! Angela wowed everyone in her beautiful gown!! She had a smile on her face, alllll day!  I was so excited that their were boats & yachts behind the Water Table, because if you remember from Angela & Patrick’s engagement session ..we shot with them ,then too!  SO much fun!! The bridal party was awesome & hilarious too!! I absolutely LOVED that Patrick stayed with her on the dance floor too ,just about all night! Grooms don’t typically do that haha!  Here is a bunch of highlights from their wedding day!  I could’ve posted so many more, but I had to stop myself. Their are SO many fun dancing shots ,that I just couldn’t go through them all in time to get this post up , so I only included a few!  Thank you SO much for allowing me to share your special day with the two of you! Megan & Bryan …where do I start?  I LOVE these two!!  I couldn’t wait for this day to come!!  After doing their engagement session ,and hearing about all the plans, I just knew this would be an incredible wedding ,and it sure was!!  EVERYTHING was beautiful ,esp Megan. Oh my gosh, was she GORGEOUS!!!!!  & her dress was LACE! Ahh I love lace, and may or may not have a slight obsession with it!:)  The bridal party was SO much fun ,and everyone was SO sweet!!  I wish we could do it all over again!!  Spending the day with these two is a real treat!  Their love for each other is SO obvious! I love the way Bryan looks at Megan!  I’m SO excited to show you these beautiful pictures that I captured of them!! These are just HIGHLIGHTS of the day ..these are definitely not all of the pictures!  I had to stop myself from posting them all:)  I hope you all enjoy these as much as I do!  We had a beautiful day , a first look! (YAY!)  & just a special day filled with love!!!    It was also my birthday , and I cant think of a better way to spend it then doing what I love !!!    Thank you again you two for letting me share your special day with you! About a week ago ,I posted on my Facebook photography profile that I was looking for a couple to photograph at a new spot I found & wanted to try out!   Kelly emailed me right away & volunteered her & her husband Jake.  Kelly is the sister of my past brides, Lisa ,so I thought her & Jake would be perfect & not to mention their both very easy on the eyes! & that’s what I was looking for:)  We met up ,drove to the location & had to walk a little bit to get there.  We got wet ,sandy & poor Jake got eaten alive by nats/bugs … BUT we all had SO much fun & we got some amazing shots!!  These two really know how to work it for the camera! They’ve been together since they were 19! How sweet is that?!  & they’ve got 3 kids too! …all this passion after all that ..yowza! Now that’s what I’m talking about!!!!!     Here are some of my many favorites from the day!  Kelly & Jake- thank you SO much again for letting me photograph you guys!!  I hope you love these as much as I do!  I cant wait to hang out soon:)

Kelly - OMG April! These look really amazing… even Jake’s flip flops(lol). You did an awesome job and are truly talented :) … I hope we can get together soon, maybe go to the beach… but I will be in my bathing suit so NO PICS! LOL! Thanks again!

Lisa Insley - Love the pictures April! You are an amazing photographer and I would hire you back in a heartbeat if we ever need your services again!! Maybe Christmas pictures! My favorite is still the cocky pose in the water by the dead tree with her hand on her hip! Great job! :-)

Showit Shootout

A few months ago , a bunch of photographers & I got together ,and photographed 4 different couples in different stylized sets. It was SO much fun!! First time I ever did anything like that!:) I tried to focus on each couple  ,rather than all the props that were around ,but I did use some.  I have been SO busy ,so that’s why these are just now getting posted .. but they are good ..so it was worth the wait  ..at least for me:)    Here are some of my favorites from the day!  Oh! & those who are wondering what “Showit”  means … its the most amazing-est (yep, I just made up that word!:) website company EVERRR!!  You should totally check them out! I was SO excited when Ashley first inquired about her September wedding, but then after she told me that she wanted her engagement pictures taken in DC, I got even more excited!!  Her & her fiance’ Chuck are lawyers , and after she said in one of her emails, (and I quote!) “Chuck & I would like our pictures taken in front of/around the capital building because we’re nerdy like that!” –   I KNEW I wanted to be her photographer!! I’m so over the moon excited that they picked me!!   We were planning on taking these pictures at the end of this month, but I was already in DC for a photography conference, so the timing worked out perfect! The weather was COLD ..and I’m talkin’ like 37 degrees cold, but you would have never known it, by looking at these pictures! We had SO much fun just walking around, talking about how they met, how Chuck proposed (really sweet story by the way!!) & finding awesome places to shoot at. We started at 7:30am ,so none of the museums or anything were open yet ,although there were NO crowds (just a few cops following up around! Ha!), so that was nice!

Ashley & Chuck, I hope you two enjoy these! I have SO many favorites, that it was hard to narrow it down:)  Cant wait to see you two again!!!  <3
